Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and The Quiz Champ ("we", "us") governing your use of thequizchamp.com (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. The service

The Quiz Champ is a free online quiz platform. You can browse categories, play randomly assembled quizzes at different difficulty levels, see your results and appear on leaderboards. We may add, change or remove features, categories or questions at any time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live) you may use the Site only with a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these Terms on your behalf. Where local law sets a higher minimum age for consenting to online services, that age applies.

3. Your account

  • You need an account to play. Provide a valid email address and keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
  • One account per person. Do not create accounts by automated means or share an account.
  • Your display name is public. It must not impersonate another person or organisation, infringe anyone's rights, or be offensive, hateful, sexually explicit or misleading. We may change or remove display names that break this rule.
  • You can delete your account at any time under Account → Personal data. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

4. Fair play

Leaderboards only mean something if everyone plays honestly. You agree not to:

  • use bots, scripts, browser automation or any other tool to answer questions or submit results;
  • exploit bugs, tamper with requests, or otherwise manipulate scores or timings;
  • use multiple accounts to gain an advantage;
  • scrape, copy or bulk-download questions and answers.

We may remove scores, reset leaderboards or close accounts where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use the Site in any way that is unlawful, harms others, or interferes with the Site or its security — including probing or attacking our systems, introducing malware, or attempting to access other users' accounts or data.

6. Content and intellectual property

  • The Site's design, software, branding and original text are owned by or licensed to The Quiz Champ. You may not copy or reuse them except as these Terms allow.
  • Quiz questions come from a range of sources, including open datasets, and are used under their respective licences, which are listed with credits on our Question sources & licences page. Those sources remain the property of their authors.
  • You may share links to the Site and screenshots of your own results. You may not republish the question bank or use it to build a competing service.
  • If you believe content on the Site infringes your rights, email support@thequizchamp.com with details and we will investigate promptly.

7. Advertising and third parties

The Site is supported by advertising served by Google and its partners. Advertisements are provided by third parties; we do not endorse advertised products and are not responsible for advertisers' content or for third-party sites you reach through ads or links. Your choices about advertising cookies are explained in our Cookie Policy.

8. Accuracy of questions

We work to keep questions and answers accurate, but with a bank of well over a million items some errors are inevitable. Questions and answers are provided for entertainment and general educational interest only and should not be relied upon as authoritative — in particular, medical and scientific questions are not professional advice. If you spot an error, tell us at support@thequizchamp.com.

9. Availability and disclaimers

The Site is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend or withdraw the Site, in whole or part, at any time.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Quiz Champ will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site. Because the Site is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to USD 50 or the equivalent in your currency. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights where you live.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Site and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Site. Sections 6, 9, 10 and 13 survive termination.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Site or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Site after changes take effect means you accept them.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which The Quiz Champ is established, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence. Please contact us first — most concerns can be resolved informally.
